PDme is the brainchild of Lillian Smith, a teacher who knows the struggle of connecting and supporting educators all too well.
After embarking upon a trip around Australia and teaching in Alice Springs and Darwin, Lill was stunned to see how the local teachers were deprived of professional development opportunities. Whether it was due to an absence of resources, funding, or managerial drive, Lill observed teachers in regional areas be short-changed over and over again.
The solution was crystal clear: Educators shouldn’t have to continuously sacrifice their time by attending PD on weekends or in the holidays. Enough is enough. Those in rural and remote areas shouldn’t be forgotten.
